Am I the only one who gets frustrated when I am shopping around for a formal dress and everything in the store is either too tight, too low-cut, too short, sleeveless, or has the most obnoxious slit toward the thigh? (seriously who wants to see that?!)
Well let me tell you this girl refuses to settle for a less than spectacular formal dress! I think every girl deserves a dress that meets her modest standards while feeling absolutely confident and glamorous while wearing it! So, without further ado,
Here are my 4 Tips on Dressing Modestly and Glamorously!
Tip #1: Pick a Bold, Rich Color!
Rich colors such as royal blue, purple, rich red, etc. communicates elegance, wealth, sophistication, and intelligence. Even if the dress is of a simple structure, the color choice alone can make it look posh and refined without all the “bling”.
This is a great tip if “bling isn’t your thing”.
However, if you’re like me and love sparkles, glitter, and bling, a sequined or beaded top with a simpler bottom will have the sparkle we desire without being too overbearing!
Tip #2: Life is Easier with Sleeves
Come on, admit it if at some point in your life you have purchased a dress with a “modesty issue” thinking you would fix it and then totally giving up on it! (Don’t worry I’ve totally been there too!)
Here’s a tip, just buy the dress that has sleeves, or is longer, or isn’t as tight.
Avoid the woe and the worry to try and find a jacket that will cover up and match the dress. Most of the time finding a bolero jacket that will match the style of dress is very difficult to find and we all know that wearing a matching colored t-shirt underneath is a no-go either!
So save yourself some heartbreak and buy the dress with sleeves!
This watch is the epitome of sheer elegance! I love that it can look good with a casual outfit as well as a glamorous one! Every girl needs a classic watch for her wardrobe!

Happy Friday! Finals are over and my second fall semester at West Coast Baptist College is officially over and I am beyond excited to be back home in Utah! Looking back from a year ago to my first fall semester God has definitely moved and worked in my heart and I cannot believe how much I have grown since that first semester. This topic deserves a blog post all on its own, but for now I can only express gratitude toward God and my parents for allowing me to attend an institution that still believes in the power of prayer and the Word of God.
During finals week, it is the most stressful time for all of us on campus! Finals week deserves comfy, cute, and no-ironing needed type of dresses! This is why modest swing dresses are the way to go!

Needless to say, Thanksgiving break was a much needed time of rest. Even though I was not able to spend Thanksgiving with my family this year; I was grateful to spend Thanksgiving in a church member’s home and had a blast! (Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez!)
I was still missing my family over the break, but looking at our old photos of past holidays (and a lot of phone calls) really helped me stay connected with them over the holiday break.
Now if you are anything like my family; you probably have that infamous box of old photo prints stashed in a box somewhere in the creepy attic/basement that no one dares to go in because of the hassle. (or in my case the fear of the creepy, icky spiders one might find up there!) 😦
Regardless, it is a sad thing that we do not look at these *priceless gems* more often mainly because all the photographs we have are saved instantly on our mobile devices.
Well that is no longer the case because Google Photos has created a tool, a brand-new app called PhotoScan which allows us to bring these forgotten pictures back to life in very high quality, no glare photographs! Mind you, it is not just a”picture of a picture” cause we are all guilty of doing that, but instead it uses your cell-phone’s built in technology as an image scanner.
All you do is simply touch the four corners of the photograph print you want to save and within seconds you have your timeless photo saved as a digital, high resolution image on your phone FOREVER!
The possibilities are endless!

There’s a reason why we college students love Fridays so much *ahem* #icecreamfridays!
However, all that richness and creaminess does not come cheap when it comes to calories. If you are a fellow ice cream enthusiast as myself and refuse to give up your frozen treats, I have AMAZING NEWS there is an alternative, healthier option that will have you indulging without the guilt!
There’s a funny story behind receiving my Arctic Zero yummy package! I was on my way to chapel service and as I walked through the receptionist’s office I noticed a huge box that was labeled with Arctic Zero branding all over it. Immediately I knew it was for me and was a bit too excited for being 10 a.m.! I signed for it and made my way to church with this giant UPS box! However, I had completely forgotten that because of the safety precautions I could not enter the main auditorium with my package (I was already coming up with ideas for this blog post!) Needless to say I was stopped by the security guard and long story short my box full of goodies had to be taken in to be inspected! LOL
It didn’t really help that the box was full of dry ice and subtle smoke was coming out of it! XD Thankfully, my reputation was redeemed when the guard opened it up and found nothing hazardous!
Here are some first impression quick video clips of how it all came wrapped up! The packaging though guys!! Super Impressed!

I was able to try all their new flavors and by far my favorite was the Poppin’ Pomegranate!
35 calories, 0 grams of fat, 5 grams of sugar, and a whole lot of yummy! I prefer the more “fruity” types of ice cream and this pint was a little tart, a little sweet and tasted the best in my opinion!
I can totally see this ice cream as an aide to help lose weight, especially for those late night cravings! Go ahead and indulge without the guilt. I did notice that you may need to leave it out longer to thaw out since it is a more solid form of ice cream. But it’s totally worth it!
Good things come to those that wait 😉
I had my friends come along on this shoot with me and dress up as the 50’s! We had a blast shooting at Rocket Fizz, a retro soda pop and candy store in Lancaster! Thank you for allowing us to take over your store for an hour to shoot! Y’all are the sweetest! @Rocketfizzlancaster

Well today was officially my last day working at my In-N-Out home store #245 for the summer!
I have mixed emotions about it all really, one part of me is excited to return to the grind of Bible college, the other part of me is just bummed out that I have to leave the comforts of my home, work, and family behind! As soon as I have adjusted to my new managers, associates and my schedule it is time to leave and readjust again to a new environment.
However the constant changes are beneficial to the overall growth of a person. Change brings daily challenges to rise up against, new faces to meet, and a chance to extend Christ’s love to others I would have never met if I stay in Utah. So with that being said, BRING IT ON Fall Semester!!
I may not be the smartest, strongest, nor most talented, but I know of someone who is all that and much more!! I’m so grateful that God is more interested in my AVAILABILITY than my ABILITY!

CUTENESS! Fall calls for warm sweaters, pumpkin spiced EVERYTHING and tribal prints!
MODEST: Length comes right at my knee, It is not uber tight, and has a stretchy waistband
