Casual and Comfy Modest Outfits! Featuring Sierra Brooke & Deela Couture

Happy Friday! Finals are over and my second fall semester at West Coast Baptist College is officially over and I am beyond excited to be back home in Utah! Looking back from a year ago to my first fall semester God has definitely moved and worked in my heart and I cannot believe how much I have grown since that first semester. This topic deserves a blog post all on its own, but for now I can only express gratitude toward God and my parents for allowing me to attend an institution that still believes in the power of prayer and the Word of God.

Casual Modest Outfit #1: Deela Couture 

During finals week, it is the most stressful time for all of us on campus! Finals week deserves comfy, cute, and no-ironing needed type of dresses! This is why modest swing dresses are the way to go!

I am absolutely obsessed with this black and white modest swing dress from Deela Couture. It is so classy and comfy! I paired up this dress with a classic, country chic, horse bit buckle belt with my cognac chunky heels from Target! Of course I could not forget a floppy wool hat from Walmart!  (DIRECT LINK) Probably the cheapest I have seen them ($10) and they carry them in all sorts of colors!

Casual modest Outfit #2: Comfy Fall Floral Striped Dress from Sierra Brooke Clothing

⚫️⚪️✨Black, White Striped Midi Skirt Outfit Featuring Two 12 Fashion✨⚫️⚪️

Boy what a week! Tests almost everyday got me feeling exhausted and stressed out but I have to remember to keep calm and dress up because that’s the only way I can relax and enjoy my day lol! 

For today’s outfit I decided on going all monochrome with my new fav belt from Two 12 Fashion!!😍😍✨✨✨

   
 
  
You guys this belt was made for me!!!! Aaah!!!😍✨✨✨🙌🏻 Its gold,AND  it has a bow !! What more could you ask for?!? 

I can see this belt with almost everything I wear! Gold metal bar belts are pretty awesome but that bow just makes it that much more glam!✨😍🙌🏻

My necklace is from Walmart and let me tell you how thrilled I am that Walmart has gorgeous boutique style necklaces for just $3-$5! 

For shoes I had to wear my Valentino inspired Rockstud heels! They go with every single outfit!🙌🏻😍❤️😉 

  
  
My bag was actually from a local Utah mall and they had a variety of colors: a nude/beige color, a red one and a black one! Knowing myself I knew I was going to dirty up the red and nude one way too quickly so I went for black! 

I adore a good structured bag almost like a satchel that resembles an antique doctor’s bag! 

   
 
For my hair I’m actually quite surprised on how it turned out considering I only did it in 15 minutes! You know those days where you are lazily curling your hair and you know it’s going to be a huge fail but you do it anyways? Well this morning was one of those days! I think what saved the curls was that I used the pin-curl technique. Basically you curl your hair and catch it before it falls in your hand and pin the curls up in a circle just like they did back in the 50s!

🍁🍂🍃Fall Fashion Trends! Chambray/Denim Edition!🍁🍂🍃

I don’t know about you but I’m gearing up for some more fall fashion trends!

So for today’s featured fall trend is none other than the staple every girl should have in their closet…

CHAMBRAY/DENIM!!

Oh yes the trend that keeps coming back with full force season after season!

I honestly don’t like to call Chambray a trend anymore its definitely here to stay!

I love my chambray tops and I adore it even more when they make an entire dress out of it and with polka dots!!

Fall is all about the rich tones and textures, and cognac + chambray is my favorite fall way to dress up this shabby chic dress!

You guys aren’t going to believe this but my entire outfit was all from good ol’ yard sales! LOL

I scored this adorable Polka Dot Chambray Dress from Sandy’s closet for just $5 at our Blogger Yard Sale earlier this month!

My cognac Bag was also from a yard sale a while ago and its literally one of my favs!!

I love how rustic and aged it looks and the bucket style shape is so up my alley!

Now chambray can be paired up with literally anything and still look so chic! But since my dress had the cutest white micro polka dots I decided to wear white to make the white polka dots pop!

I added a thin white buckle belt paired up with my white 5 flower necklace from Walmart! (Haul coming soon 😉

For months now my favorite white flower necklace from Our World Boutique broke and I was left without my staple piece?:(
Until last week I was randomly roaming the aisles of Walmart and found a TON of flower statement necklaces for just $5!

SCORE!!

Annnddddd then…. they somehow all appeared in my cart at checkout…? I know, So Weird.

DIY Frozen Inspired Tulle Wreath!

Happy Monday Everyone!
Another week, another DIY project! February is rolling around next week and I wanted to get this post up before January ended. I enjoy making all kinds of wreaths but this was my first time making one out of tulle! I must say it was the easiest, pain free way to make a wreath! If you’ve never made a wreath before this would be a good place to start!

Lets get started!

You will need:
~Foam Wreath (Walmart)

~Rolls of Tulle in Ice Blue and White (Walmart 2 of each)

~Snowflake Decorations (Walmart)

~Hot Glue Gun                                                                                                         

To get started you will need to cut strips of your tulle. Test the length out on your wreath, your strips should be long enough to look like tulle but not too long or else the tulle will not stand up straight and flop over. After you are happy with the length, continue to cut the rest of the tulle.                                                                          

Next, take your strip of tulle and make a loop underneath the wreath and pull it through.                         

Make sure to pull it tight and slide it over to cover the white foam of the wreath. I tied 4 strips of the blue and 4 strips of the white all around the wreath.

After the wreath is all covered you will notice you’ll have longer pieces of tulle than others, just trim those ends up and you’re all set to decorate!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

I used these gorgeous glitter snowflakes to give it a more ”Frozen Princess” theme!

Oh! I forgot to add that I glue a piece of blue ribbon on the back so it can be hung!

                                                                                                                    

I loved how beautiful the tulle looks! I will have more fun and easy DIY projects coming this week!

DIY Candy Land Christmas Wreath/Using Deco Mesh

Happy Thursday Girlies!!

I’m so excited for today’s tutorial!It was so much fun making this wreath! I went on Pinterest and found a couple of ways to make a wreath out of deco mesh and this was the result!

So just a quick back story, I was at Michael’s and was blown away of how GORGEOUS their wreaths were! And of course I turn over the price tag and find a whopping $90 price tag! YIKES! (Its no longer cute anymore. lol)

So like all my DIY’s come from something being way overpriced! On that note let’s get started!
What you will need:
– White Deco Mesh (Walmart $4.98)

– Red and White Striped Deco Mesh (Walmart $7.98)

-Wreath Frame (Walmart $3.00)

– Pipe Cleaners (Walmart $0.88)

– Random Decorations?Candy Canes,Candies,Ornaments

(Michaels)

6- Hot glue gun

Step 1:

First you are going to tie two pipe cleaners on the inner and outer wires. Keep doing this all around your wreath.

It should look something like this!

Next, gather up the deco mesh at the end and bunch it up like so. We will be doing the inner ring first.

Work your way all around the inner ring and then without cutting the mesh, work your way up to the upper ring.

You can go over the wreath again with the remaining mesh to make it more full or stop at this point.

Next you want to hide all the pipe cleaners and “fluff” up the mesh however you see fit!
Now comes my favorite part! Decorating!!!
So pretty much I just put two candy canes, little candies , and ornaments all throughout!
