❄️✨❄️Elsa from Frozen Inspired Look!❄️✨❄️ Featuring Amazing Lash Studio Grand Opening!❄️✨❄️

Hello and Happy Friday lovelies!!

img_0349img_0348

I am so excited to share with you this long awaited Elsa inspired photoshoot!! I had plans on doing this photoshoot since last year for Disney Fashion Week but alas the location we wanted to shoot (Ice Castles) was closed due to the weather being too hot!

So this year when I heard the Ice Castles were coming back to Utah I knew I had to make this photoshoot happen ASAP before they melted again!

Before we dive into the look, A HUGE THANK YOU to the wonderful ladies at the Amazing Lash Studio for allowing me to try out something I’ve never ever done before… Lash Extensions!! It was the most perfect timing because I’ve always wanted to try out lash extensions just for the pure fact that you wake up and your lashes are looking all done up and glamorous without using mascara! It was a perfect sending away to college gift for me, which will allow me to catch a few more ZZZ’S in the morning! And there is nothing more valuable than sleep to a college student! Can I get an amen there? lol

Take a look at their gorgeous new salon for this week’s ModestlyHot Snapshots!

The usual price for a set of lashes is $250, but the first pair always gets a special introductory price of $79.99, and even that will be 25% off during the grand opening, so it is the BEST price ever!

I would highly recommend you Utah Locals to take advantage of this!!❤️❤️ I’m absolutely loving my lashes and I can’t believe I can go swimming, work out and sleep in them without having to worry about them!

Not an ounce of mascara on! I’m loving it!  Thank you Amazing Lash Studio!!❤️💋💄

💛🌹Disney Princess Beauty and the Beast Inspired Outfit! Featuring Shabby Apple!💛🌹+ DIY Enchanted Rose!

Happy Saturday Lovelies!!

Disney fashion inspired looks are back!🙌🏻 You may remember this lookbook about a year ago where  I would try to replicate a Disney character’s outfit, makeup and hair with items I had in my closet!

Personally I  don’t celebrate Haloween but find it so much fun to dress up as a Disney Princess anytime of the year! ❤️💙💛

Here is a quick DIY Disney Inspired Princess Belle outfit with things you have already in your closet!

I cannot wait to share with you all this Belle inspired outfit! 😍 drumroll please🎉

I chose to channel my inner Belle from Beauty and the Beast!❤️🌹💛

Okay you guys I must confess Belle is definitely my favorite Disney Princess!😍😍🌹❤️

I recreated Belle’s ball gown look with the help of this gorgeous Shabby Apple Dress!!😍💛🙌🏻

The style of it is called the “West End Dress” and it’s stunning! The bow wrap around style made the fit just right! I love that it has a tie that I can adjust depending on how tight/loose I want it!

It features a gorgeous satin sheen with a flared bottom!

 How to Belle’s Hair:

for Belle’s hair all you’ll need is:

~hair elastic

~bobby pins

~Hairspray

~Brush

~Yellow Ribbon

First you want to curl your hair with a one inch curling iron or wand! Next you’d want to do a small half up half down hair poof and reserve the hair on the sides of your head to pin later!

Make the small hair poof and tie it!

Place the yellow ribbon on top of the poof and secure with bobby pins !

(Remember to “X” your Bobby pins for maximum security)

Take the hair that you reserved and tease the sides and pin in place!

Super easy and takes about 15 minutes !

How to Belle’s Makeup:

For Belle’s makeup the key is soft Browns and rose golds on the lid with bright red lips! I achieved th Belle look using my favorite makeup pallete ever: The Disney Beauty Books!!

The packaging alone is worth it!! I picked up three of the 4 books in Walgreens back in April and I’m obsessed!😍🙌🏻💕

I love how the eyeshadow names relate to the movies!💙❤️💛 Quality wise they’re not the best I’ve ever tried (sorry Disney Lorac stole my heart) but they’re pretty good and a must if you’re a Disney Princess fanatic like me!💙❤️💛👑

Now my favorite part of the Disney photoshoots have to be “DIY’ing” the props! Of course who can forget the Enchanted Floating Rose from Beauty and the Beast!

I went online to see if buying it would be cheaper than making it but found my answer quickly when I saw that they ran up to $180! 😱

So I just made it instead for under $16!

You will need :

~Dome Bell Jar

~Plastic Rose from Michaels/Walmart !

You can even find bell jars at your local thrift store!

Also I think it would be adorable to add string lights around the rose for a cute nightlight /room decor !

I hope you all have a great day tommorow and I’ll be talking to you soon lovelies!💕

Xoxo

Disney Princess Cinderella + Mint Tulle Skirt Outfit! Featuring Space 46 Boutique!

Happy Monday Friends!!

Disney Fashion Week is in full force and we are starting off the week with another Cinderella Inspired Outfit!

IMG_3235

IMG_3326-1

IMG_3703

IMG_3698

You may have recalled two of my past Cinderella Inspired outfits, but I couldn’t help myself for one more go at this stylish Princess!

IMG_4491

So for this week I wanted to channel my inner Cinderella in a more subtle way!

IMG_4478

You guys!! I finally found my holy grail tee shirt!!

Disney and Vogue ?!! Together?!! Ugh this is perfection beyond belief!

Two of my favorite obsessions wrapped up into one glorious top!

I scored this awesome shirt late one night browsing through Poshmark for just $10!

IMG_4480

I decided to pair up my Vogue Cinderella Shirt with my mint tulle skirt from Space 46 Boutique!

I have seen this dreamy tulle skirt all over Pinterest and I just HAD to get my hands on one!

I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first Space 46 tulle skirt! They are totally worth every penny!

My favorite part of this skirt is the satin waistband, and the volume of the skirt! Not too poofy and not too flat but just right!

I think Goldilocks would approve 😉

IMG_4488

IMG_4475

For accessories and shoes I wore my single strand rhinestone necklace with my DIY Cinderella Shoes!

I decided on a single strand necklace so it would add some shine to the outfit but wouldn’t distract from the wording of the actual shirt. And for $1 you just can’t beat that! I actually bought a back up of the necklace!

For shoes I couldn’t decide on which pair, so I wore both! lol

The first pair I purchased it from a shoe clearance sale at the mall for just $5.99! They’re double strapped and have the coolest holographic print all over them!

IMG_4484

IMG_4472

IMG_4469

The second pair of heels were my Silver Glitter Heels I made from an old pair of pumps I had laying around!

Here’e the link to my DIY Cinderella Shoe tutorial! So Easy and a great inexpensive way to spruce up your old heels!

IMG_4493

IMG_4486

For hair and makeup: I went for my go to Retro 60’s Inspired Half Up- Half Down Do!

It’s really quite simple and some of you on Instagram have requested a hair tutorial, which I am currently working on!

My go to makeup is quite neutral, which includes just layering shadows of light brown, medium brown and dark chocolate brown to enhance the crease! Big lashes, and bold winged eyeliner have become part of my usual makeup routine.

My go to palette is definitely the LORAC PRO/LORAC UNZIPPED! The shadows are pillow soft and blend out gorgeously!

I used to be a total Urban Decay junkie now I am a LORAC girl all the way!

Well that wraps up today’s post!! Hope you enjoyed it and remember to keep a smile throughout your Monday Blues!

❄️Disney Fashion Week! ❄️⛄️Featuring Anna from Frozen⛄️❄️

Happy Saturday Lovelies!💙
Yes it’s time for my favorite look book of all time.. Disney Fashion Week!!
IMG_3235.JPG
The part of my blog where I channel my inner 5 year old dreams!😂❄️

IMG_3232.JPG
This week is I decided on being Anna from Frozen!😍❄️💙❄️💙❄️

IMG_4433.JPG

IMG_4432.JPG

IMG_4399.JPG

IMG_4430.JPG
I think out of all the Disney looks I’ve recreated this one by far has been the easiest for sure! I chose to recreate Anna’s Coronation Look because in all honesty I cannot rock pig tails like she can! So without further ado, let’s get started on the basics of this look!

Here are some tips and tricks to look like Anna with things you already have around the house!

Step 1: Anna’s Coronation Hair

IMG_4431.JPG

This hairstyle was so easy to recreate! Basically all you do, is part your hair in the middle and take your hair from both sides behind your ear and braid the sections.
Next you want to tease your crown and secure it with bobby pins.
Now Anna’s bun is pulled to the back of her head but for me personally I prefer to make a cute side bun that hangs low to frame my face.
Add some finishing hairspray and you’re done!

IMG_4435.JPG

Step 2: Anna’s Floral Shirt +Skirt!

Of course we can’t forget about her signature black floral top!!
I’ve seen plenty of tutorials on how to make one but I actually purchased a very inexpensive dress from EBay!

IMG_4436.PNG
The top is so cute in itself but the skirt was very cheap looking and it resembled too much like a cosplay and not a fashion inspired outfit , so instead I cut the skirt part out and wore my satin green ball gown skirt!

IMG_4430-0.JPG

Step 3: Anna’s Makeup!

I so enjoyed this makeup look and will definitely be rocking it again!
So for Anna’s makeup we got to remember that she’s in a very cold/freezing environment❄️⛄️, thus rosy pinched cheeks is only natural that she’d have!

IMG_4434.JPG

IMG_4386.JPG
For my eye makeup I applied very lightly a luminescent white as my base.
For my crease I added a soft brown all over the lid and further defined my crease using a dark brown from my Lorac Unzipped Palette!

For a bit more fun I added a cool toned violet shadow on my blending brush and softly applied it to my lower lash line for that extra “ice cold ” feel! ❄️⛄️

Lips! If you notice Anna not only has rosy bright pink cheeks but also a bright pink lip color!
I used my fav Wet N Wild Mega Last Lip Color in “Cherry Picking” ! These lipsticks are amazing!! So rich in pigment and smooth to apply oh and they’re a steal at just $1.99!!

IMG_4376.JPG
And that’s it!!
Three easy steps to achieve Anna from Frozen!❄️⛄️
I hope you all have found this helpful and til next time!!
Xoxo,
Ashley💕

DIY Disney Princess Nail Art💕👑+ Outfits!

Hello Everyone!
Today’s post is uber exciting because it’s all about Disney princesses!👑😍❤️
I’ll be showing you two different nail art designs inspired by Disney Princesses! 👑
Let’s get Started!!💕

IMG_3232.JPG
My first nail tutorial is actually fool proof and anyone yes Anyone can do it!
For one of my Disney princess photoshoots I wanted to dress up my nails to go along with my outfit!
IMG_3507.JPG
I found this adorable shop on Etsy called Nana’s Imagination ! 👑 I immediately fell in major love with these Disney princess Nail decals!!😍😍😍
The shipping was phenomenal she shipped within the hour !😳
When they arrived I immediately grabbed all my nail supplies and got to “work”.LOL

You will need:
~White Nail polish (love love this White out one from Rue 21!)
~ Top Coat
~ Cup of Water
~ Cooking Spray (optional)

IMG_3500-0.JPG
1. First you want to paint two coats of your opaque white nail polish! Immediately spritz your wet nails with the cooking spray. This is optional but for the most impatient girl on the planet (me😜) it’s a must! Literally your nails will be smooth and dry to the touch within a minute if not less! It’s a lifesaver!

IMG_3502.JPG

IMG_3502-0.JPG
2. Next you want to take a paper towel and remove the excess oil from your nails and dry them off a bit.
Get a glass of water ready and dip your nail decals in the water face down! Make sure to cut as close to the princess image as possible! (Let your Princesses go for a swim!👑lol)

IMG_3503.JPG
After about 10 seconds or so, you will notice that the nail decal will start peeling away from the cardstock.
I used a toothpick to grab the nail decal and I placed it on my nails one by one!

IMG_3504.JPG
3. Lastly Seal your princesses with a topcoat and you’re done!!
I have to rave about this top coat I found at Dollar Tree! It’s Ahmazing!! Fun fact about me at the age of 14 I used to do acrylic nails as my job back in the day, so I’ve tried out the best nail polishes/topcoats and I’ve got to say that this one from the Dollar Tree is equal if not better to those big name brands! For $1 you can’t beat it!

IMG_3506.JPG
On a side note how cute is cinderella’a glass slipper?!

IMG_3507-0.JPG

Beauty and the Beast Nail Tutorial🌹
For my next nail tutorial will be inspired by my favorite Disney Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast!😍🌹

IMG_3678.JPG
You will need:
~Yellow Nail Polish
~ Red Acrylic Paint
~Green Acrylic Paint
~ Topcoat
~Gold Glitter (optional)
1. Paint all your nails except your thumb and ring finger a bright yellow.

IMG_3683.JPG
2. Draw the Enchanted Rose!
Take your red and green acrylic paint and make a small swirl in the center of your nail.
You can also use nail polish but I find that paint is thicker and not so runny!

IMG_3704.JPG
3. Make “c’s ” all round your center swirl as you form your rose! Lastly draw the green stem with a couple of thorns! Seal with topcoat and you’re done! Not bad for someone who is horrible at drawing! LOL😅

IMG_3682.JPG
For some added Glam I added glitter to the tips of my nails and of course a matching Belle to go along with it! 🌹

IMG_3680.JPG

IMG_3679.JPG

IMG_3681.JPG
I hope you all enjoyed these nail looks!
Below I have attached some on my Disney Princess Inspired Looks!

Disney Fashion Week: Featuring Princess and the Frog!

Happy Saturday!!
Boy what a week, Disney fashion week that is! I have been throughly enjoying dressing up like Disney characters! Funny how an outfit can change your mood!

IMG_3235.JPG
Last night to celebrate DisneyLand’s 60th Anniversary we went to the Disney Fantasia Concert in Deer Valley! I have always been a HUGE fan of the Utah Symphony and being that it was Disney Themed made it 10000X better! IMG_3392.JPG
IMG_3393.JPG

IMG_3389.JPG
I love how causal and care free the atmosphere was!
We made ourselves a cute little picnic basket and enjoyed the performance!

IMG_3380.JPG
Crackers,,Cheese and Grapes? Yes Please!
(The adult version of a lunchable lol)

IMG_3394.JPG

So after a long day yesterday you’d think I would be too tired to dress up again?
Yes and no! lol
I saw this gorgeous skirt in the morning hanging in my closet and thought that would be so perfect for The Princess and the Frog!

IMG_3416.JPG

IMG_3422.JPG
For the longest time I have been wanting a bright neon green midi skirt!!
I mean it’s really bright and so full!
I got it from Proverbs31 Clothing!

IMG_3420.JPG

IMG_3421.JPG
Now since Tiana’s dress has both green and a soft yellow I knew exactly the shirt I needed for this look!

IMG_3424.JPG
I scored this gorgeous soft yellow blouse from Ross, for like $8!
For my accessories I added gold anywhere I could! So I threw on a glitter belt and a gold necklace both from DownEast!

IMG_3434.JPG

To finish the look off I wore my floral crown from Trendy Touch Boutique and was ready for some pictures!🐸
The look was fairly simple and so much fun!

IMG_3435.JPG
Now I couldn’t help myself but to style this skirt another way!
(You know when you have an outfit idea in your head and need to get it done before you forget?) lol

Here’s Style #2 for styling a neon green midi skirt!

IMG_3426.JPG
I just wore a simple black and white striped top (it’s actually a pencil dress from She-Inside)
And some black studded heels to add some texture!

IMG_3425.JPG

IMG_3428.JPG

IMG_3427.JPG

IMG_3430.JPG
Pretty simple eh?
When you have a skirt this bright it doesn’t take much to make a statement and stand out!
Well that wraps up today’s post!!
Til Next Time!
God Bless !
Xoxo,
Ashley

💙Disney Fashion Week: Featuring Cinderella! 💙

Happy Friday Eve Everyone!!

Disney Week continues!! And I’m beyond excited to share with you the next Princess on my to do list!

IMG_3235-0

Drumroll please……🎶
IMG_3326-0.JPG

IMG_3344-0.JPG

IMG_3354-0.JPG
Yay!! Cinderella!! I adore Cinderella!!😍😍💙😍😍😍💙
But before I could do Cinderella I needed some of her signature pieces!
So I’ll show you how easy it is to DIY Cinderella Shoes and Her Black Necklace!
For the Cinderella shoes you will need:
Modpodge (Shiny kind)
Silver Glitter
Foam Brush
Jewels
Hot Glue
Baby Blue Paint (optional )
Black Vinyl (optional)
Old Pair of Heels!

IMG_3031-0.JPG
Step 1:
Prep your Shoes
Make sure you clean them real good so the paint will adhere better!

Step 2:
Apply one coat of Modpodge and sprinkle silver glitter all over the heels!
*A tray underneath is very helpful in not wasting any glitter!✨
Repeat this step once more until it has the coverage you desire! I did three coats!

IMG_3034-0.JPG

IMG_3033-0.JPG

IMG_3037-0.JPG
Step 3:
Seal the Glitter!
Unless you want to leave a trail of glitter everywhere you go, you might want to seal in all the fabulousness✨
It dries in about 2 hours or preferably overnight and will be completely sealed!

IMG_3039-0.JPG

IMG_3038-0.JPG
Step 4:
Decorate!!
Now comes the super fun part; decorating the shoes!!
Let your imagination run glam! (Cause I like glam more than wild lol)
I added some clear Crystal jewels from a broken necklace I had kept!

IMG_3042-0.JPG
Now these next steps are optional but I really wanted a Cinderella shoe!!
So I bought baby blue paint and painted the soles that color!
I also added the classic Disney logo with vinyl I had lying around the house! (Actually that’s a lie, I found the vinyl Inside my dad’s garage! Oops Thanks dad!!) He’s probably going to be confused why there’s a hole missing of material in the shape of Mickey mouse ears! LOL

I traced it out using a template I found online and voila instant shoe decal!!

IMG_3219.JPG

IMG_3220-0.JPG

IMG_3227-0.JPG

IMG_3350-0.JPG

IMG_3348-0.JPG

IMG_3349-0.JPG
Now I believe that the entire essence of Cinderella lies in her necklace!
So getting that detail right was a must!
It was actually quite simple to make it! I purchased black satin ribbon from Walmart folded it in half and sewed a hook and latch on the back of the neck!

IMG_3223-0.JPG

IMG_3337-0.JPG

IMG_3344-1.JPG
Now that all the accessories are done let’s get on with the outfit!💙
You guys this dress!!💙💙💙💙 From the moment I saw it I knew it was just right for Cinderella!!
I bought it off Etsy from a sweet lady that sells Authentic Vintage Clothing!
I am so excited to own this dress because it feels so awesome to know that another girl wore this in the 50’s!!
Back in the day it was actually made for Prom! LOL
And now it’s a cinderella dress! 😍✨

For this Disney Princess Look I decided on being Princess Jasmine!!

Before I could do the look I needed Jasmine’s Signature Headband!
I actually made one out of two items: 1. Turquoise Ribbon and 2. Costume Jewelry from the thrift store!
All I did was hot glue the gem onto the ribbon and that’s it!

IMG_3047.JPG

IMG_3041-0.JPG

Now you can’t do Princess Jasmine without the genie lamp of course!!
I bought mine online at Walmart’s website for just $5!
I spray painted it gold because it’s original color was more of a brassy brown.

IMG_3048.JPG

IMG_3050.JPG
Now all my props are done and it’s time to head to the Great Salt Lake for pictures!

IMG_3251.JPG

IMG_3253.JPG

IMG_3268.JPG
For my hair I teased it like they did back in the 80’s lol!
I mean the amount of strength I built up in my arms from teasing my hair for this look was insane! Lol

One can of hairspray and 40 Bobby pins later…

IMG_3276.JPG

IMG_3271.JPG

IMG_3278.JPG
Let’s talk outfit for a second!
I scored this gorgeous mint pleated maxi dress at JCPenney for an amazing deal using the magic of stacked coupons!
I saw the dress and I immediately knew I had to have it for this look but the price tag was a whooping $80 bucks!
I waited about 2 weeks and the dress was on sale for $60. Not bad. But being an avid clearance shopper I wanted more savings.
So I had a $20 OFF $50 mobile coupon using my Snip Snap App (hallelujah!)
And then the sweet cashier said that I had a $10 OFF style rewards coupon available!!
Whoooo! Scored this dress for $20!
Now that’s my kind of deal!

IMG_3273.JPG

IMG_3275.JPG

IMG_3274.JPG

IMG_3262.JPG

IMG_3257.JPG

IMG_3263.JPG

IMG_3267.JPG
Princess Jasmine is all bout the GOLD!
So naturally all my accessories were gold including this cute gold glitter belt!

IMG_3259.JPG

IMG_3261.JPG

IMG_3260.JPG

IMG_3250.PNG

Well that wraps up today’s Disney Princess Look!
I hoped you enjoyed this outfit and let me know if you’ll be attending the concert so I can meet you!!😍❤️

🍌Minions Movie Outfit + Easy DIY Cupcakes!!🍌

Hello and finally Happy Friday!!
Well I am extremely ecstatic because (a) My weekend is going to be 3 days! (b) The minions movie premieres today!!
So to celebrate let’s start off of with some yummy Minion cupcakes!!
They are so super easy to make! Here’s what you’ll need :
Twinkies or “Cloud cakes” lol
Black icing
Blue icing
Candy eyes
Cupcake liners
Your favorite cupcake recipe! (preferably anything banana flavored!)

IMG_2185.JPG
So let’s get started!
I normally make my cupcakes a few days in advance and freeze them overnight! I recommend you doing this in three easy steps, bake, freeze and decorate !
This will allow you to focus on each step and executing it more efficiently and stress free !
Frozen cupcakes will be a thousand times better to decorate I promise !!
I took my favorite dessert decorator Pro to ice all the cupcakes with blue icing.

IMG_2186.JPG

Next you want to open your Twinkies and cut them in half!

With your pastry bag or icing tool you want to make two small circles with the black icing . Carefully place the candy eyes on top and watch how instantly a black ring will form around it making it look like the minions glasses!

Give them the rest of their glasses and a smile !🍌😍

All that’s left to do is to put your minions onto the blue iced cupcake!

In a sea of minions! Lol
I loved the way they turned out and you don’t need to be a professional cake decorator to make them!
I brought these to my Sunday School class and they LOVED them! Even the adults were asking me of they could have one! #nevertooold

I actually picked up this scarf from ..yep you guessed it Claire’s!! But the first two times I just didn’t feel like buying it so I left it behind twice!
Until a couple of days ago when I saw that there was only 1 left! It was a life or death decision! (Exaggerating much..? Lol)
So I chose to get it and I’m glad I did because it’s so darn adorable !!😍💛
