Fall Fashion Modest Outfits 2016! Tribal Skirt & Maroon Featuring LuLa Roe Review!

Happy Wednesday!!

Well today was officially my last day working at my In-N-Out home store #245 for the summer!

I have mixed emotions about it all really, one part of me is excited to return to the grind of Bible college, the other part of me is just bummed out that I have to leave the comforts of my home, work, and family behind! As soon as I have adjusted to my new managers, associates and my schedule it is time to leave and readjust again to a new environment.

However the constant changes are beneficial to the overall growth of a person. Change brings daily challenges to rise up against, new faces to meet, and a chance to extend Christ’s love to others I would have never met if I stay in Utah. So with that being said, BRING IT ON Fall Semester!!

I may not be the smartest, strongest, nor most talented, but I know of someone who is all that and much more!! I’m so grateful that God is more interested in my AVAILABILITY than my ABILITY!

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness”

2 Corinthians 12:9

That does it for modest fall look numero uno! Many more are to come this week!

So what is my overall consensus on this LuLa Roe Cassie Skirt?

F A B 😀 OR DRAB?:(

MOST DEFINITELY FAB!

I like list making so here are my reasons on why I dig this skirt!

  1. COMFORT:  A comfy skirt will always have a special place in my heart!
  2. CUTENESS! Fall calls for warm sweaters, pumpkin spiced EVERYTHING and tribal prints!
  3. MODEST: Length comes right at my knee, It is not uber tight, and has a stretchy waistband

This is ModestlyHot and I approve this message ; )

Til Next Time!

img_4572

Welcome to a new blog series, “Meet My City Monday” where I will be giving you a tour of my personal favorites in my home state (ahem the best state EVER lol) Utah!

Today will be a review on the infamous NAILED! salon located in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Nailed-SaltLakeCity-UT

Arriving there: The NAILED! salon/boutique is located in Salt Lake City, Utah

in a quaint but endearing neighborhood that could easily be missed if you do not have your google maps turned on. Here is the specific address:

875 700 S , Salt Lake City, UT 84102

On Mondays Ashley and Karli get manicures and pedicures at NAILED! salon.

First Impression: When we first arrived at the salon we were enamored by the most adorable story tale entrance of this quaint little house turned into a nail salon!

As I walked in I was instantly greeted by the girl at the counter with the best customer service and she was totally fine by this weird blogger taking random pictures of their establishment.

The main entrance of this salon is the cutest boutique filled with the trendiest of items and seating areas for you to sit and wait for your appointment. While I was waiting I was instructed to go pick a nail polish color for a much needed pedicure!

Of course I went with a rose gold glitter OPI nail polish! (I forgot the exact name!)

img_4564

My gorgeous friend Karli from @teach.shop.love  and I, very much could get used to getting pampered like this every day! It’s always a fun time when we get to catch up with each other!

img_4566img_4569

Once we were seated our wonderful nail techs did their job and then some!

Both of our nail techs carried on a conversation as if we’ve known each other forever! (Totally not awkward!)

They were pretty efficient in their work, yet they did not RUSH us! No wonder they have won “Best of the Beehive” numerous times, and even featured on Instyle Magazine!

This nail salon exemplifies what it is to live in the gorgeous state of Utah. The overall experience is warm and inviting, yet always achieving excellency. Many places in Utah have a very “home-y” feel to them all while being top notch in their industries. This is what i love most about my home state! I cannot wait to share my even more of favorite places in my awesome city, Salt Lake City!

If you are a Utah local I have linked below the business hours and the exact directions. I totally recommend them and encourage you to go check them out next time you need to pamper yourself!

Until next time!

God Bless,

Ashley Amber

Today I will be reviewing the Golden Lemon Boutique‘s “Always a Bridesmaid Skirt!”

{Stay tuned til the end of the post for a giveaway!}

Golden Lemon Boutique is a one-stop shop for the classiest modest apparel! They’ve taken all the guess work out of it! No more questioning whether if it is too short, or too tight, Shannon and her team have done the modest check for us!

I chose this gorgeous cream colored, jacquard organza skirt with side zipper closure, simply because of the classiness it portrayed.

I ordered mine in a size small and it falls right below my knee! (I am 5’3 for reference)

Since the skirt was super dressy already I paired it up with a classic chambray shirt!

And you know what I always say, “When in doubt wear Chambray!”

img_2404

For accessories I wore my  Rue 21 “Queen” necklace as I’d like to call it! It is so glamorous and turns ANY outfit from drab to fab! Check it out! It is still available and one of their best sellers!

img_2405

I am simply in love with this princess inspired skirt! The pleating, and organza all around the skirt make it simply fit for royalty! I wore my sparkly Betsey Johnson pointed bow heels to finish off the look!

Easy Fruit of the Spirit Kids Craft! Sunday School Crafts!

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Even though this is being put together Sunday night with my mint julep face mask on (which is ahhmazing btw!) as I’m catching up on some 19 Kids and Counting episodes!

My face mask has hardened and I don’t dare to even smile! lol

IMG_2064

I thought I would share with you all the craft me and the kiddos did today in Sunday School!

I love doing crafts and having so much fun with the kids, yes we’re probably the loudest class (Sorry church members!) but I think that’s a good sign of how much of a good time we’re having while learning the Word of God!

So today’s lesson was about oranges!!

Jk! Well kinda! lol

We learned about the Fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

This lesson was awesome because it covers so many great character building traits all in one lesson!

We learned about how God creates these qualities in us through his Spirit.

Each kid had a fruit assigned to them with a quality and they had to explain in their own words how they would exercise that specific quality!

(Everyone wanted to be the watermelon for some strange reason lol)

I always try to accompany a lesson with a relating craft because I remember how much fun I had doing craft time in my Sunday School!
So as I was looking for cute ideas on Pinterest I stumbled across the most awesome website; Bible Story Printables! They had all the resources and images ready to print and for free!

IMG_2057

I mean how cute are these?!

It then hit me to make a ”Fruit Bowl of the Spirit Craft” for the kiddos!

(Thanks Zak for the clever name lol)

All you need is:

~Paper

~Printer and Ink

~Scissors

~Hot Glue Gun

~Disposable Bowl

~Markers and Crayons

~Candy Grapes (Optional)

IMG_2059-0

Print these adorable fruit shapes here.

Click on that link for the free printable!

Next, you want to have a couple of little helpers color and cut the fruits! (So adorable seeing them try their hardest to color within the lines!)

IMG_2058-0

IMG_2060

It might be a good idea to help the younger kids with the hot glue! (Trust me I, to this day still end up burning myself! )

IMG_2061

Glue all your little fruits on the edge of the bowl and add some candy sour grapes to make it look like a legit fruit bowl!

I mean how cute and easy right?!!

I love this craft because its adorable and very affordable! Believe me it can get pretty expensive really fast making crafts for 20 kids!

I have a funny and crazy story to tell, some may say it is somewhat of a testimony.

Now, I love doing all these fun projects for the kids and just going to Michael’s and getting excited for all the fun crafting possibilities! But recently every time I purchase things for my Sunday School class , my bank automatically deposits the EXACT amount that I spent for the craft/lesson!!!! The same EXACT amount down to the pennies and all!

We have to agree that is no coincidence!

No doubt about it that we serve a Great and Mighty God!

I hope you all have happiness and exciting adventures this week!

Til Next Time!!

XOXO,

Ashley!
