LIFE UPDATE: Where have I been?!?! & Modest Fall Lace Dress featuring DownEast Basics 25 Year Anniversary!

Is anyone out there?

What can I say? It has been awhile and you guys have just been so awesome and understanding through my college transition yet again!

The good thing is that I am finally all settled in and midterm examinations are over! (Can I get an amen to that?!)

Exciting NEWS!! I have been a huge fan of DownEast Basics for years and they recently contacted me to help them celebrate their 25 year anniversary! #25yearsofdowneast

Processed with Snapseed.

DownEast holds a special place in my heart because they took a chance on me when I first started blogging and gave me that extra boost of encouragement that every blogger needs when they first start out. I am thrilled to see how God has blessed their company and how far they have come!

Reason #2 why I love DownEast is because they started from humble beginnings in my home state, Utah!

P.S. Every skirt girl needs to make a trip down to Utah “aka” modest shopping heaven! 14680509_10154567289693838_6897378747497153496_n.jpg

Their new fall collection has been released and I immediately knew that I wanted this “country chic” cream lace dress! Perfect for fall, spring, summer and even winter!

I absolutely love the fit on this dress, the perfect fit and flare! It is very difficult to find fit and flare dresses that actually are long enough (40″length size small)!

Since fall is my utmost favoritest (yes I realize that is not proper English grammar 😉 ), season of all, I had to do a fall themed carnival photoshoot.

It was quite comical pretending to shoot fall outfits when the temperatures were in the 70’s! #californiaweather

Accessories can instantly transition any outfit from season to season, so for that reason I chose my horse bit buckle belt, cognac riding boots, and a vintage inspired bucket style bag!

That lace detailing though!!

Most bloggers hold extravagant floral arrangements, I as a broke college student hold a baby tumbleweed I found on the side of the road 😉 amberr-85amberr-86

Despite the lack of the color green out here, the desert does have a beauty of its own especially those amazing sunsets and sunrises!

Oh! Before I forget in celebration for their 25 year anniversary  DownEast is having a HUGE Anniversary SALE on different items every single day! DON’T MISS OUT! They are already pretty affordable and add a nice 25% OFF on top of that?! Yes please!

As always all the outfit details and links about this blog post will be neatly listed below for your convenience 😀

Love in Christ,

Modest “Little Red Dress” Featuring Mod Posh Boutique+Giveaway!!

Ahh yes the classic little red dress, the one dress that every woman needs at any given moment to be prepared for any special occasion, wedding or event!

But actually finding a “little red dress” that’s not so little can be a struggle!

Thankfully there are shops like Mod Posh (by my fellow blogger friend)!

A classic red lace victorian inspired dress that is both modest AND glamorous!

And it’s finally back in stock! A dress that is sure to impress at any wedding, event or graduation for sure! Plus, did I mention that it is only $35?!

When in doubt… Put a Bow on it!

This dress is gorgeous all on its own but for a little added pop of cuteness and sparkle I added my go-to belt from Two 12 Fashion.

Reasons why I am loving this dress:

  1. A modest high neckline that is covered in lace
  2. A classic A-line pleated shape
  3. Dainty and feminine scalloped lace hem for a high fashion look
  4.  It is fully lined and completely modest!

Recently, these lace up heels have been taking over the fashion and Instagram world! I knew I had to get on the bandwagon and picked them up also in the color black!

I love supporting small modest shops that are good quality and affordable! Mod Posh has so many stylish modest skirts that are on my wishlist!

I love Instagram shops because they make shopping so much easier and they usually give many outfit inspirations/combinations with that article of clothing.

Pssst…. I have a secret!  I loved my dress so much that Mod Posh and I have teamed up to bring you lovely ladies a giveaway of anything you’d like on their Instagram! There will  be a giveaway going on today in a couple of minutes 😉 Enjoy!!

Denim & Lace Modest Outfit!+ GIVEAWAY to Golden Lemon Boutique!

Happy Monday Girlies!!

Rainy, gloomy days in Utah call for french pastries and a cup of hot tea from La Bonne Vie!

 Tiramisu Heaven!

Today I will be reviewing the Golden Lemon Boutique‘s “Always a Bridesmaid Skirt!”

{Stay tuned til the end of the post for a giveaway!}

Golden Lemon Boutique is a one-stop shop for the classiest modest apparel! They’ve taken all the guess work out of it! No more questioning whether if it is too short, or too tight, Shannon and her team have done the modest check for us!

I chose this gorgeous cream colored, jacquard organza skirt with side zipper closure, simply because of the classiness it portrayed.

I ordered mine in a size small and it falls right below my knee! (I am 5’3 for reference)

Since the skirt was super dressy already I paired it up with a classic chambray shirt!

And you know what I always say, “When in doubt wear Chambray!”

For accessories I wore my  Rue 21 “Queen” necklace as I’d like to call it! It is so glamorous and turns ANY outfit from drab to fab! Check it out! It is still available and one of their best sellers!

I am simply in love with this princess inspired skirt! The pleating, and organza all around the skirt make it simply fit for royalty! I wore my sparkly Betsey Johnson pointed bow heels to finish off the look!

Alright I’d say we start off the week right with a giveaway! Golden Lemon Boutique and I have teamed up to bring you a chance to win a $50 Gift Card to their modest boutique!

I always try to make my giveaways super easy to enter and most importantly quick! There is nothing worse than trying to enter a giveaway with 20+ prerequisites!

So here it goes guys!

🍁🍂🍃Fall Fashion Trends!🍃🍂🍁 Modest Ways to Style a Fringe Skirt!

Hello friends!!
Well it’s official, Summer is over and scarves, boots and Pumpkin Spice Latte is in our midsts. ☕️
Fall is literally my FAV time of the year!!
It’s also my favorite because of all the fabulous fall fashion trends!!😍🍂🙌
I’ll be trying all these trends out for 2015 and seeing what works and what doesn’t! Lol
So the first trend for fall 2015 is none other than Fringe Skirts!

Oh yes!! Now let me explain for a second why I LOVE this trend!
Now I know what you’re thinking, “fringe is okay but just not on me..”
Let me stop you for a second! Repeat after me, I (insert name) NEED A FRINGE SKIRT!!!
Cause ya do!

The movement of this skirt is phenomenal ! 🙌 It isn’t just visually interesting but has great movement to it as well!

You guys know me and I normally gravitate toward the glitter, sparkle and glam! But I have a soft spot for anything Cognac!😍 My total obsession! The color cognac makes literally everything so chic!

So you purchased your fringe skirt (congrats! 🎉) Now what comes next?
Well the way I see a fringe skirt outfit can be very boho/rustic but let’s add a bit of glam shall we?
I added this amazing vintage gold and brown link chain belt that added a bit of shine.

I wore this dainty white lace top with my skirt to make it a bit more girly and soft, which by the way I scored this top for just $3!

Let’s talk about shoes!!🙆👠
I actually received my order from JustFab from their huge summer clearance sale and I couldn’t wait to wear my wedges the same day!
😬👠 I mean who knows if I’ll live the next day to wear them right?
Hahha totally kidding!
Random Pet Peeve of the day: Is it just me or am I the only one who can’t understand why people purchase stuff just to store it away in their closet?

Like wear it for Pete’s sake! 😫

Anyways back to these shoes!!😍🎉🍂🙌
I scored them for just $10 and they’re the most comfortable pair of heels yet!
I didn’t have to break them in!

You can find this skirt from She-Inside for just $19! Plus you can get 30% OFF if you sign up with your email! I’ve seen lots of stores coming out with fringe skirts but I love this one because of the color!😍😍

Below I have attached a link where you can find the skirt I’m wearing plus more fabulous fringe finds!

Fall Fashion Trends: Fringe!

Hope you all have an amazing rest of the week!!

Til Next Time!
God bless!

Modest Tulle Skirt Outfit

Happy Tulle Tuesday!!

Tulle skirts have been all the rage this past year! They are no longer just for ballerinas or little girls anymore!

I remember when I bought my first tulle skirt (it was a soft pink) and how intimidated I was by the fullness of the skirt!

But now, I feel like I gravitate more to bigger, fuller skirts! I have quite a bit of tulle skirts in my closet, but I was missing a darker colored one! For some reason I just seem to buy lighter colors when it comes to skirts, (soft pink, mint, ivory etc.).

I was on Pinterest and saw a gorgeous bright red tulle skirt and instantly fell in love!! I wanted to make my own red tulle skirt since the one that was on Pinterest was well over $500 bucks! Turns out that making my own tulle skirt was also going to cost a pretty penny because I needed at least 10-12 yards of tulle :(. Of course, when in doubt, POSHMARK IT! I’m sure you have all heard me say this over and over again, but seriously you need this app in your life! It’s like a virtual yard sale!

I went on there and found the perfect red tulle skirt priced at $39!! But as good as that deal sounded I did not end up paying any of that! I only paid $1.99 on my card because I had some posh credits from items I had sold recently! So technically I got rid of my old clothes and got a beautiful princess tulle skirt in return!

I decided to pair up my red tulle skirt with a delicate floral lace shirt!  And guess where I found my shirt?

Yep, POSHMARK! lol

For the shoes I decided on these gorgeous rockstud leopard heels! (Very Valentino-esque!)

For jewelry I kept it very simple but still glam! I wore my crystal cluster necklace (try saying that 10 times lol) from

Purple Peridot!! I use it ALL the time, and it works for EVERY outfit! Like seriously, Every .Single. Outfit.

You know how black matches everything? Yea, same concept with this necklace lol!

I hope you girls enjoy the rest of your day! Thank you for stopping by!

Til Next Time!

Black,Gold, and Snow

Happy Sunday ! Once again the struggle to wake up this morning was real. (My body refuses to wake up so early on the weekends). I wanted to do a causal laid back outfit but being the girly girl that I am does not allow me to do so,(seriously I wish I was joking).
Black and gold is just one of my favorite combinations! I dunno, but something about black and gold together has this “Kardashian” expensive feel to it. I totally had forgotten about this gorgeous skirt just sitting in my drawer! I have a tendency to buy and just shove it in my drawer for months.
I had seen this skirt all over the internet and was determined to find where it was sold! Turns out that I finally found it on Amazon for a great price!
Seriously this skirt looks like metal from afar but in reality it’s almost like crochet.
The problem I had with this skirt was that although it was knee length the black slit underneath was really short! But that didn’t stop me from purchasing it! I’d figure I’d just pop my black lace skirt extender underneath it! It totally worked and looked like one full length slit.
