Fall Fashion Modest Outfits 2016! Tribal Skirt & Maroon Featuring LuLa Roe Review!

Happy Wednesday!!

Well today was officially my last day working at my In-N-Out home store #245 for the summer!

I have mixed emotions about it all really, one part of me is excited to return to the grind of Bible college, the other part of me is just bummed out that I have to leave the comforts of my home, work, and family behind! As soon as I have adjusted to my new managers, associates and my schedule it is time to leave and readjust again to a new environment.

However the constant changes are beneficial to the overall growth of a person. Change brings daily challenges to rise up against, new faces to meet, and a chance to extend Christ’s love to others I would have never met if I stay in Utah. So with that being said, BRING IT ON Fall Semester!!

I may not be the smartest, strongest, nor most talented, but I know of someone who is all that and much more!! I’m so grateful that God is more interested in my AVAILABILITY than my ABILITY!

So onto today’s fall fashion modest outfits for 2016! & let me tell you I have plenty in store for you ladies!!

I was sent this gorgeous tribal printed pencil skirt from LuLa Roe by the kind Laura Medina who shares in ModestlyHot’s same mission in providing faith and fashion inspiration to ladies all across the globe!

I am obsessed with my Cassie style pencil skirt from LuLa Roe! Literally the comfiest outfit and brand on the planet!! Laura Picked this gorgeous piece out for me and it tied in beautifully with my fall modest look book!

If you follow my Instagram stories, you know I bought every single color of these one size stretchy long sleeved tops! They are the perfect fit and go with EVERY OUTFIT and for $4.99 you cannot beat that price! Look for them in the “one size'” tops at the end of the aisle! They’ve added new fall colors like mustard, maroon, plum and olive green!

Thanks to my dear friend and photographer Mildred aka the expert in trendy hat wear for convincing me to try it out! lol

This beauty I scored at Forever 21, it was pricier than what I am used to paying for an accessory , but the pictures turned out great so I am satisfied!

3. MODEST: Length comes right at my knee, It is not uber tight, and has a stretchy waistband

ShoeDazzle, JustFab + More Shoe HAUL!

Hello friends!!!

Happy 100th Post!!! I woke up to a WordPress notification that ModestlyHot has written 100 posts today!

There isn’t anything else I’d rather do than to create content and share it with you guys!!

So for these first three pairs of shoes I actually went to the mall and stumbled across a hot shoe sale! 😉

All the shoes were on clearance for just $5.99!!!

Immediately I gasped and said, ”CINDERELLA SHOES!” They have a gorgeous double t-strap heels with these cool glitter holographic print all over the shoes!

I couldn’t resist picking up the gold pair as well!

Can you say Valentino?! I love these rockstud sandals that very much resemble Valentino!

I fell in love with the red stud details, and the vibrant color!

They kind of remind me of Kate Middleton or Princess Diana!

I am not a huge fan of wedges, but I couldn’t resist these beauties!

Disney Princess Cinderella + Mint Tulle Skirt Outfit! Featuring Space 46 Boutique!

Happy Monday Friends!!

Disney Fashion Week is in full force and we are starting off the week with another Cinderella Inspired Outfit!

You may have recalled two of my past Cinderella Inspired outfits, but I couldn’t help myself for one more go at this stylish Princess!

So for this week I wanted to channel my inner Cinderella in a more subtle way!

You guys!! I finally found my holy grail tee shirt!!

Disney and Vogue ?!! Together?!! Ugh this is perfection beyond belief!

Two of my favorite obsessions wrapped up into one glorious top!

I scored this awesome shirt late one night browsing through Poshmark for just $10!

I decided to pair up my Vogue Cinderella Shirt with my mint tulle skirt from Space 46 Boutique!

I have seen this dreamy tulle skirt all over Pinterest and I just HAD to get my hands on one!

I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first Space 46 tulle skirt! They are totally worth every penny!

My favorite part of this skirt is the satin waistband, and the volume of the skirt! Not too poofy and not too flat but just right!

I think Goldilocks would approve 😉

For accessories and shoes I wore my single strand rhinestone necklace with my DIY Cinderella Shoes!

I decided on a single strand necklace so it would add some shine to the outfit but wouldn’t distract from the wording of the actual shirt. And for $1 you just can’t beat that! I actually bought a back up of the necklace!

For shoes I couldn’t decide on which pair, so I wore both! lol

The first pair I purchased it from a shoe clearance sale at the mall for just $5.99! They’re double strapped and have the coolest holographic print all over them!

The second pair of heels were my Silver Glitter Heels I made from an old pair of pumps I had laying around!

For hair and makeup: I went for my go to Retro 60’s Inspired Half Up- Half Down Do!

It’s really quite simple and some of you on Instagram have requested a hair tutorial, which I am currently working on!

My go to makeup is quite neutral, which includes just layering shadows of light brown, medium brown and dark chocolate brown to enhance the crease! Big lashes, and bold winged eyeliner have become part of my usual makeup routine.

My go to palette is definitely the LORAC PRO/LORAC UNZIPPED! The shadows are pillow soft and blend out gorgeously!

I used to be a total Urban Decay junkie now I am a LORAC girl all the way!

Modest in Red, White & Blue! Memorial Day Outfit Ideas!

Hey you guys!! Happy Friday!! It’s been crazy how fast this week has gone by!

To say that I am ready for the weekend is an understatement! (Shopping, food and fun? Yes Please!)

Memorial Day is right around the corner and I thought to myself ,”hmm I have dozens of outfit ideas on that!”

I personally love anything that is red,white and blue, anchors, stars and stripes! It all excites me!!

                           So for today’s outfit I have the morning off so I am going to swing by the store and pick up an order I made by phone.(Cant wait to show you all what the mystery item is!!)

I recently shopped at Rue21 and picked up some clearance goodies since they were having the entire store on sale!  plus buy one get one 50%OFF !

So…… I bought this top!

I know I know… You’d think I would have enough anchor print tops already right?!

TOTALLY WRONG!

You can never have too many cute anchor shirts!!

As soon as i saw it I knew it had to be mine + I got it half off!

You can’t tell in the pic but the sleeves are actually cuffed! So J. Crew!

Now, I loved how the first outfit looked but last year I did a pretty similar look with the same skirt but with a different anchor top which was also coincidentally from Rue 21!

So I wanted to jazz it up a bit and I knew exactly what I was going to pair it up with!

I actually had to dig this striped H&M blazer from my hamper which is pretty intimidating because it was stuffed full!

I love how this outfit screams nautical! Oh and here’s a quick little tip for easy pattern mixing!

Always match colors not patterns! In this outfit the striped blazer works with the anchor print top because they’re both navy and white. And the pop of yellow works because yellow and navy are opposites on the color wheel.

Since there was alot of pattern mixing and colors already I opted for my nude Christian Louboutin heels!

Not the comfiest pair of heels but definitely the most stylish! (That pop of red gets me every time!)

I already want to wear this shirt again!!

Happy Tuesday Girlies!!

These past couple of weeks have been just go go go for me but I have been working hard to get blog posts up! It’s quite stressful getting all these ideas that are bouncing in my head to actually having the time and resources to do them all!

Does that ever happen to you?

It’s like I know I am a creative person and it frustrates me sometimes that I just don’t have the time/ resources to do all these projects!

It also doesn’t help that I am a very impatient person by nature! lol

I feel as I am always trying to catch up with my brain that’s going 1000 miles per hour! Thus making me very tired at the end of the day! LOL

But as I woke up this morning going thru my usual Instagram feed routine (Do you guys go through your social media feeds in the morning too?) I saw this posted by DulceCandy that really struck me.

If I could give this pic 10000000000+ likes I totally would!!!

I screen shot this and saved it onto my phone because it just hit the nail right on the head for me!

Sure it’s easy to just give up and throw in the towel because I feel ”stressed.” But it wouldn’t be as rewarding!

I sometimes ask myself,”Why am I doing this?” ”Is it even worth it?”

Strangely enough at this time I will receive an email/comment from one of you girlies sharing how I’ve given you inspiration on how to dress more modestly. You girls have NO idea how much you make my day and keep me motivated! Seriously You’re Awesome!

Now let’s get onto today’s #ootd

I ordered this classic black and white striped midi dress about a week ago after my forever21 black and white midi dress got thrown in the wash and the white stripes are now grey

So I needed a replacement!

I bought this dress from SheInside and it arrived on Monday!

I am a strong believer in trying things out as soon as I get the package! LOL

I literally open my packages like a starving gorilla!

I don’t care if its late at night and I got my pajamas on, you know I’m going to be putting on a fashion show!

The dress fits like a glove!

It slid on so perfectly and I felt like Goldilocks, not too tight and not loose but just right!

(That’s how the story went right? lol)

I also ordered these red bow heels!!! AAAH!!!

Okay so quick story about these shoes!

So I originally saw these shoes on Just Fab’s website around Christmas time!

I had some doubts of whether or not I could rock these heels, if they were going to look awkward etc..

So I didn’t really think too much of ordering them and I felt a bit ”lukewarm” about these heels!

So I passed on them.

WORST. MISTAKE. EVER.

They were so popular that they were sold out everywhere!!

I even was going to buy the Aminaha Abdul Jillil ones that retailed for over $200.

(Yes I wanted them that badly!)

Of course as soon as I saw these heels on SheInside’s website I immediately ordered them without a second thought!

They were $30 but I had a 40% OFF coupon!

I absolutely love my new shoes!!

I have always been a huge fan of the classic black, white and red combination!

Something so french and classic about it!

I wore my favorite little bag from Aldo! Don’t let this little guy fool you it carries ALOT!

The Classy Closet Series: Spring SHOE Haul!

Hello Lovelies!!

Happy Shoesday Tuesday!

I am starting a new series on the blog; The Classy Closet Series!

Take a look inside my closet and my fashion finds that I’m currently loving!

This will be a very easy going and random series!! Pretty much I will be posting my opinion on fashion topics, current trends, clothing and shoe hauls, closet organization tips etc.!

Well since today is Shoesday Tuesday I decided that doing a Spring Shoe Haul would totally be fitting!

For the past couple of months I have been pretty good at my shoe impulsive buys! I just was not excited about any of the new styles on the market.

Until big shoe companies started to come out with these bad boys!

I know right?!! Now its pretty obvious that these were inspired on the infamous Valentino Rockstud pumps!

But for a third of the price! Yes please!

I just love how these heels just add such a bold statement to any outfits! Naturally after owning one pair I needed to keep building my collection with more of these fab heels!

So as I was doing some night owl shopping on GoJane  they were having a 60% OFF sale off all shoes! Plus I had an additional 10% OFF coupon from Retail Me Not! (More savings=more shoes! )

And that very morning my goodies were on their way!

Their shipping is wicked fast! There’s nothing better than coming home to a big box of new shoes!!

Totally made my day!! When I opened the box the first pair of shoes were these gorgeous black studded pumps!

I knew I had to have the black ones since they would go with every outfit and I would totally get my money’s worth! (I’ve already worn them with 4 outfits!)

My next pair of shoes were these Tiffany Blue/Turquoise Heels!! Aaah!!! The color is so right on for Spring/Summer!

I was kind of hesitant of purchasing them since the color is very bold and would probably be worn only around Spring, but they actually go with a lot of outfits especially for adding a fun pop pf color!

                                                     Two words: Hot Pink and Studs!

Of course I had to get them!! HAD TO!! I’ve given these shoes alot of wear already! haha! Am I the only one who beats up their shoes much too quickly?!!

                                                     I’m not sure if I should share this story because you might think I’m a bit of a compulsive shopper but here goes anyways!

I ordered the hot pink heels on Monday and received them on Wednesday morning, tried them on (more like danced around and jumped around with them lol ) and fell in love how awesome the fit was and how comfortable they are!

So I went on GoJane’s website and I pulled the trigger and bought these leopard ones all without a second thought!

I just couldn’t help it! Also I think i was pressured into buying these because it said they were the last ones in my size! (I blame it on GoJane honestly lol)

I decided on going to Rue 21 just to see what deals they had! And lo and behold I see the sign that every girl loves to see!

Um hello there 50%OFF!

EEK!!! look at those floral studded flats!! Yes Yes yes!

Get in my cart!!!! lol okay I am totally freaking you guys out and I apologize! Lol

Rue 21 was having 50% Off all their clearance items!!!

Mint? Floral? Studded?

Oh of course I was not going to walk out of the store without these!

They were on clearance for $24 but i scored them for just $12!

I found its little sister in the flats section!! Now they didn’t have my size but I bought the next size up which will totally wok since they are closed toe.

                                                     How cute are they together?!!

You know what they say! ”If the shoe fits, buy it in every color!”

Modest In Dots LookBook! Modest Polka Dots & Neon Outfit!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

This weather has got me feeling in a fabulous chipper mood!

I recently went to my local thrift store and found the cutest black and white polka dot skirt!! Now I realize I do not need any more polka dot clothing items.(Seriously its gotten out of hand!) But I just couldn’t help myself!! So with that being said here is the ”Modest in Dots” LookBook!

As I was searching through the skirts section I noticed this cute polka dot skirt and kept debating whether or not to purchase it! I literally went around the store putting it down and picking it back up over and over again!

I just couldn’t resist the unique shape of this skirt. It’s not straight enough to be a pencil skirt but its also not a complete A-line style skirt. Oh and it has pockets!! There’s nothing better than skirts with pockets ladies!

Before getting dressed I was already sporting my ”Let It Go” tee I purchased from Jane.com a couple of months back!

As I was searching through my tops to see what would go best, I looked in the mirror and I was so visually pleased how my casual tee looked with the polka dots!!

I looked no further and decided on wearing my tee! I almost felt guilty on how easy that outfit was to put together! (Do you ever feel that way?! lol)
Not only was I EXTREMELY comfortable but I felt like I was put together!

                           I love the classic pairing up black and white but I wanted to add a fun pop of color!!

And what’s more fun than an uber bright neon studded pumps?!! Yes, meet the newest member of the rockstud family!!

I actually bought these yesterday from Rue 21 at a steal!! They were having 50%OFF all clearance items!! They were on clearance for $24 plus 50%OFF that!

I only paid $12 for these beauties!!

The reason I love this skirt is the fit! I 99.999% of the time I wear my skirts really high waisted! This skirt is meant to be worn lower on the natural waist than high up. Normally what happens when I my skirts at my hips I tend to look very boxy and wide! (I am a size 0-2 on the waist and a size 4-6 on the hips which makes finding skirts difficult for me!)

But with this skirt it didn’t sit on the hips but more on the lower natural waist line! I’m not gonna lie wearing skirts high waisted is not comfortable whatsoever!!! lol (I kinda like to breathe once in a awhile ya know?! lol)

                           Since this is a look book I have included more modest polkadot outfits below!

Modest Ways to Style Denim Shirts!

Happy Thursday Girlies!!

As I was folding the laundry this past week I noticed a common thread in my choices of shirts. The majority of them were all denim/chambray shirts!! At that point I didn’t know whether it was a good thing or I needed some sort of therapy! lol I love all my chambray shirts equally and I do not have one that I prefer over the other! I would say that I wear chambray shirts at least twice a week! They’re so easy to style! I kid you not, they go with everything!!!

Denim is the new black!

Outfit #1 Use your chambray shirt tied at the waist instead of a jean jacket!

Jean jackets are great, but they can be heavy and too hot for the summer. A chambray shirt tied at the waist gives you the same look as a jean jacket without all the bulk!

For accessories I wore a gold half moon statement necklace to give it a touch of glam! P.S. I love the ruching of this maxi skirt!

Outfit #2: Wear your chambray shirt with bold statement skirts!

I love a bold print on my skirts especially when they’re full and grand! Sometimes you just have to let the skirt be the star of the show!

Outfit #3: Wear your chambray as a layering piece under cardigans!

This is my ultimate favorite way to wear chambray shirts, just peeking out of a cardigan!

It makes the outfit more sophisticated and chic!

I love to cuff the sleeves over the cardigan for that extra pop of denim! I added a mint bubble necklace for a fun pop of color for spring!

Outfit #4 : Use your chambray shirt as a neutralizer with Sequin Skirts

Have you ever paired two very flashy items together and looked in the mirror in horror?!

Sure, the pieces individually are amazing, but a total disaster when paired together! That’s why I love to pair sequins with denim because it acts as a neutralizer and lets the sequins steal the show!

Shopping for Modest Clothes

Happy Friday Everyone!                                                                                                         

 

I wanted to write this post because I always get emails and comments on Instagram about where do I buy my modest clothes? Believe me I know the difficulty of finding trendy but modest clothes these days! But I do have some stores and websites I can rely on for inexpensive modest clothing! Living in Utah I have been learning that there are alot of local modest shops all around the state! Im going to share with you (in no particular order) my no fail shops for finding modest clothes! (cute and trendy too by the way.)

1. Sexy Modest Boutique 

Im pretty sure all of you have heard of them! They have amazing skirts and I love how they emphazise that you can look great but modest as well! This shop is great for finding all things modest! They were my first ever introduction to modest clothing! I found them while I was desperately searching for an inexpensive skirt extender and out popped their website and I’ve been hooked ever since! They always have great sales and new arrivals!                                                    

 

2. Very Jane                                                                                                                                  

Oh how I love Veryjane! It is a daily boutique deal website that has amazing deals on modest clothing especially skirts! I think I’m addicted because I always end up buying something everyday! There is always something new everyday and cheap too! Their skirts are usually $10-$12 when they’re normally $30! Most of my favorite clothes are from Very Jane! The only con is that their clothing is on a first come, first serve basis! I always check their website around midnight since that is when they put new items up!                                                                 

 

3. P. Kid Chicks Shop                                                                                                                  

First of all I have to say that their sense of fashion is on point! I love their IG account! Their shop is equally amazing! Steph and Nicole are Pastor’s Kids (hence their name ”P. Kid. Chicks”) that are dedicated to inspire young girls to dress modestly. They have gorgeous modest skirts that are affordable as well!

 

4. Windsor Store 

Windsor is kind of like Forever 21 but better! They sell gorgeous formal dresses! While not everything in their website is modest, their midi skirts, however are. Their skirts are so unique!

 

5. Modest Closet                                                                                                                            

Modest Closet is one of my favorites for afforadable modest clothing! I love their pencil skirts!! They have the best fit on me! If you are on a budget then this is the place to shop. I totally reccommend the Piper Pencil skirts, definitely a staple piece in my wardrobe.

I could go on and on but I don’t want to over do it so I’m going to stop here. I may do like a part 2 or something later! 🙂  Work awaits me now.
