Fun Fact #1: Why yes I did indeed climb these rocks with 5 inch heels πŸ˜‰ Had my friend (photographer) Mildred scared to death!Β

Disclaimer: Pretty please do not try this at home! It was not a safe place to be hiking with heels, but a blogger has to get her Pocahontas shots!

Here’s what you will need:

I finally found the PERFECT and MODEST fringe skirt on Poshmark!! No slip needed!

Usually with a fringe skirt the fringe would not be full enough to be modest, however this one not only was a lined skirt, but the fringe was full of beautiful movement!

Oh did I mention that it was only $9?!

img_3426 (1)

Now that’s what I call a fringe skirt! Cannot believe this was a skirt originally from Forever 21! All you Poshmarkers go ahead and follow J’s Closet on Poshmark! Incredibly fast shipping and beautiful clothes! img_3425 (1)

FUN FACT #5:Β Amanda from Aesthically You is the best at Eyelash Extensions in Utah!

I am not just saying that! She truly is very gentle yet effective at her job! My eyelashes can look good as soon as I wake up! What I liked the most about them was the amount of curl they had and they were not heavy at all!

πŸ’›πŸŒΉDisney Princess Beauty and the Beast Inspired Outfit! Featuring Shabby Apple!πŸ’›πŸŒΉ+ DIY Enchanted Rose!

Happy Saturday Lovelies!!

Disney fashion inspired looks are back!πŸ™ŒπŸ» You may remember this lookbook about a year ago where  I would try to replicate a Disney character’s outfit, makeup and hair with items I had in my closet!

Personally I  don’t celebrate Haloween but find it so much fun to dress up as a Disney Princess anytime of the year! β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’›

Here is a quick DIY Disney Inspired Princess Belle outfit with things you have already in your closet!

I cannot wait to share with you all this Belle inspired outfit! 😍 drumroll pleaseπŸŽ‰

I chose to channel my inner Belle from Beauty and the Beast!β€οΈπŸŒΉπŸ’›

Okay you guys I must confess Belle is definitely my favorite Disney Princess!😍😍🌹❀️

I recreated Belle’s ball gown look with the help of this gorgeous Shabby Apple Dress!!πŸ˜πŸ’›πŸ™ŒπŸ»

The style of it is called the “West End Dress” and it’s stunning! The bow wrap around style made the fit just right! I love that it has a tie that I can adjust depending on how tight/loose I want it!

It features a gorgeous satin sheen with a flared bottom!

 How to Belle’s Hair:

for Belle’s hair all you’ll need is:

~hair elastic

~bobby pins

~Hairspray

~Brush

~Yellow Ribbon

First you want to curl your hair with a one inch curling iron or wand! Next you’d want to do a small half up half down hair poof and reserve the hair on the sides of your head to pin later!

Make the small hair poof and tie it!

Place the yellow ribbon on top of the poof and secure with bobby pins !

(Remember to “X” your Bobby pins for maximum security)

Take the hair that you reserved and tease the sides and pin in place!

Super easy and takes about 15 minutes !

How to Belle’s Makeup:

For Belle’s makeup the key is soft Browns and rose golds on the lid with bright red lips! I achieved th Belle look using my favorite makeup pallete ever: The Disney Beauty Books!!

The packaging alone is worth it!! I picked up three of the 4 books in Walgreens back in April and I’m obsessed!πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ’•

I love how the eyeshadow names relate to the movies!πŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’› Quality wise they’re not the best I’ve ever tried (sorry Disney Lorac stole my heart) but they’re pretty good and a must if you’re a Disney Princess fanatic like me!πŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ‘‘

Now my favorite part of the Disney photoshoots have to be “DIY’ing” the props! Of course who can forget the Enchanted Floating Rose from Beauty and the Beast!

I went online to see if buying it would be cheaper than making it but found my answer quickly when I saw that they ran up to $180! 😱

So I just made it instead for under $16!

You will need :

~Dome Bell Jar

~Plastic Rose from Michaels/Walmart !

You can even find bell jars at your local thrift store!

Also I think it would be adorable to add string lights around the rose for a cute nightlight /room decor !

I hope you all have a great day tommorow and I’ll be talking to you soon lovelies!πŸ’•

Xoxo

πŸ’™Disney Fashion Week: Featuring Cinderella! πŸ’™

Happy Friday Eve Everyone!!

Disney Week continues!! And I’m beyond excited to share with you the next Princess on my to do list!

IMG_3235-0

Drumroll please……🎢

IMG_3354-0.JPG
Yay!! Cinderella!! I adore Cinderella!!πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’™πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’™
But before I could do Cinderella I needed some of her signature pieces!
So I’ll show you how easy it is to DIY Cinderella Shoes and Her Black Necklace!
For the Cinderella shoes you will need:
Modpodge (Shiny kind)
Silver Glitter
Foam Brush
Jewels
Hot Glue
Baby Blue Paint (optional )
Black Vinyl (optional)
Old Pair of Heels!

IMG_3031-0.JPG
Step 1:
Prep your Shoes
Make sure you clean them real good so the paint will adhere better!

Step 2:
Apply one coat of Modpodge and sprinkle silver glitter all over the heels!
*A tray underneath is very helpful in not wasting any glitter!✨
Repeat this step once more until it has the coverage you desire! I did three coats!

IMG_3034-0.JPG

IMG_3033-0.JPG

IMG_3037-0.JPG
Step 3:
Seal the Glitter!
Unless you want to leave a trail of glitter everywhere you go, you might want to seal in all the fabulousness✨
It dries in about 2 hours or preferably overnight and will be completely sealed!

IMG_3039-0.JPG

IMG_3038-0.JPG
Step 4:
Decorate!!
Now comes the super fun part; decorating the shoes!!
Let your imagination run glam! (Cause I like glam more than wild lol)
I added some clear Crystal jewels from a broken necklace I had kept!

IMG_3042-0.JPG
Now these next steps are optional but I really wanted a Cinderella shoe!!
So I bought baby blue paint and painted the soles that color!
I also added the classic Disney logo with vinyl I had lying around the house! (Actually that’s a lie, I found the vinyl Inside my dad’s garage! Oops Thanks dad!!) He’s probably going to be confused why there’s a hole missing of material in the shape of Mickey mouse ears! LOL

I traced it out using a template I found online and voila instant shoe decal!!

IMG_3220-0.JPG

IMG_3227-0.JPG

IMG_3350-0.JPG

IMG_3348-0.JPG

IMG_3349-0.JPG
Now I believe that the entire essence of Cinderella lies in her necklace!
So getting that detail right was a must!
It was actually quite simple to make it! I purchased black satin ribbon from Walmart folded it in half and sewed a hook and latch on the back of the neck!

IMG_3223-0.JPG

IMG_3337-0.JPG

IMG_3344-1.JPG
Now that all the accessories are done let’s get on with the outfit!πŸ’™
You guys this dress!!πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™ From the moment I saw it I knew it was just right for Cinderella!!
I bought it off Etsy from a sweet lady that sells Authentic Vintage Clothing!
I am so excited to own this dress because it feels so awesome to know that another girl wore this in the 50’s!!
Back in the day it was actually made for Prom! LOL
And now it’s a cinderella dress! 😍✨

πŸ’›β€οΈDisney Fashion! Easy Mickey Mouse OutfitπŸ’›β€οΈ

Hello and Happy Friday Eve!πŸ’›β€οΈ
Today’s outfit is one of my favorite lookbooks to do which is Disney Fashion!!
There just something so magical about dressing up like your favorite character!
Peek a boo!! I just couldn’t resist! Hehe!
IMG_3074.JPG
This is my second Mickey Mouse outfit recreation and I thought since i got a new red shirt I could easily do more Disney Looks! Including this one!

IMG_3086.PNG
Mickey Mouse is probably one of the easiest Disney outfits to recreate since practically any store sells polkadots!!

IMG_3068.JPG

IMG_3067.JPG

IMG_3066.JPG
I can’t tell you guys how OBSESSED I am with my Taralynn’s Boutique Skirt !
Ugh it’s so perfect and the material is such nice quality with a nice weight to it!( I prefer skirts made with heavier materials)

IMG_3077.JPG

IMG_3078.JPG

IMG_3076.JPG
Now a couple of weeks ago I was at Forever21 and saw these amazing Minnie Mouse / Mickey Mouse headbands for just $3!! There was a black polkadot one and a white one and of course I had to snag them both!
I actually wear them every morning when applying my makeup to get all the hair out of my face!
Great for face masks at night too!

IMG_3080.JPG
I definitely recommend buying solid colored tops at Ross! They’re so cheap and a must have in my closet!!πŸ’›πŸ‘
I scored this gorgeous red blouse for just $8!

IMG_3063.JPG

IMG_3088.JPG
Let’s talk handbags for a second!!😍
I was shopping at my local mall and there’s a store called the B.O.Y. Store (doesn’t make sense since they sell all cutesty and girly things)
And I stumbled across this gem of a bag!!
I mean come on!! All my weaknesses designed into one cute satchel!!
Bows, old fashioned closures, patent, and a structured body?!?

IMG_3077-0.JPG

IMG_3057.JPG
I’m definitely contemplating on purchasing the red one!! EEK😍❀️

Well that wraps up today’s #disneystyle

Any more Disney inspired looks/suggestions? let me know!!πŸ‘
Til Next Time
God Bless You!

Ashley

Dorothy Wizard of Oz Inspired Outfit! Featuring Shabby Apple!

”We’re Off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz!”

Now that I got that off my chest (and stuck in your head ) let’s begin with today’s outfit!

I’ve always been a bit of a nerd when it comes to cosplaying! Now I am aware my version of cosplaying isn’t as extreme as others but just enough to get recognized as my desired characters!

IMG_2368

IMG_2385

Now Dorothy has always been on my ”To-Do” Outfit list for several reasons!

1.You get to carry around a cute little basket

2. Her red lipstick and makeup!

3. Baby Blue with Red Glitter Slippers!

IMG_2363

All I am missing is my Toto!!! Funny story I was at Zurchers shopping for a birthday party and I saw the cutest mini basket with Toto prop!! UGH I should have bought it but I didn’t think I would actually use it again!

IMG_2361

Initially this outfit was inspired by the name of my skirt, the ”Dorothy Skirt” from Shabby Apple!Β I have seen this skirt all over Pinterest and I knew I just HAD to have it!!

IMG_2386

IMG_2364

As I took it home I was pondering long and hard of what to pair up this beautiful polka dot skirt with! (I was having fashion blogger’s block lol) I read the label on the skirt and AHA! the light bulb came onas I knew I was going to be Dorothy!

IMG_2365

The top had to be white to make the white polka dots in the skirt pop! But I wanted to go for a glam version of Dorothy so I decided on wearing a white sequin top instead of a plain tee!

(Sequins and polka dots? Um yes please!)

I actually had my eyes on these GORGEOUS sequin tops around Christmas time but I wasn’t going to pay $20 each for all three! I waited and waited til I scored all three tops for just $15!

IMG_0894

IMG_0896

IMG_2372

IMG_2369

IMG_2370

IMG_2371

Dorothy is known for her adorable pigtails but I for sure cannot rock them as well as she did!

So I went for a vintage half up half down hairstyle with a poof an a bow in the back!

(thank goodness for Pinterest Tutorials!)
