Modest Monochromatic Outfit! Featuring My New Just Fab Heels!!

Hello there Girlies!!!

I actually wore this outfit on Sunday and wanted to wear it again! I love the classic color combo of black and white!

It’s so clean and very sophisticated!

Monochrome is actually a huge trend for the summer! I once read in a magazine if you want to stand out just do the opposite everyone else is doing! So while I do love floral prints and bright colors I wanted to shake things up and wear a monochromatic look!

That awesome moment when you find a skirt that matches your shoes?!

I bought these GORGEOUS classy black and white pumps from JustFab about a month ago! (Forgot to skip the month oopsies!)

I was determined to find a skirt with the similar print as my shoes! Oh boy did I find some amazing skirts BUT for the wrong price! (Sorry Neiman Marcus but $399 for a pencil skirt?!)

So I kinda gave up on my hunt for the perfect skirt to match my shoes and decided to go to the outlets and see what deals I could find!

I went to Nordstrom Rack and went straight for the clearance skirt section like I always do!

Lo and behold I saw the skirt I was frantically searching for!!! (GASP!)

It was on the clearance rack for $30!! Now I normally don’t pay $30 for a single piece of clothing but at that point $30 sounded way better than $399!

Plus it’s really nice quality!

I paired up this shirt with my thrifted J. Crew find and I cuffed the sleeves up! For my accessories I wore my favorite necklace, the Crystal Cluster Necklace from Purple Peridot! This necklace was such a hot commodity on Instagram and I can see why! It turns any outfit from casual to glam!! (And you all know how I feel about Glamour!)

I can totally see this as a ”corporate style outfit!”

Corporate Chic is what I like to call it.

I love the clean lines and the lack of color! lol

I hope you all enjoyed this post and I’ll chat with you soon!!

Shopping for Modest Clothes

Happy Friday Everyone!                                                                                                         image

I wanted to write this post because I always get emails and comments on Instagram about where do I buy my modest clothes? Believe me I know the difficulty of finding trendy but modest clothes these days! But I do have some stores and websites I can rely on for inexpensive modest clothing! Living in Utah I have been learning that there are alot of local modest shops all around the state! Im going to share with you (in no particular order) my no fail shops for finding modest clothes! (cute and trendy too by the way.)

1. Sexy Modest Boutique image

Im pretty sure all of you have heard of them! They have amazing skirts and I love how they emphazise that you can look great but modest as well! This shop is great for finding all things modest! They were my first ever introduction to modest clothing! I found them while I was desperately searching for an inexpensive skirt extender and out popped their website and I’ve been hooked ever since! They always have great sales and new arrivals!                                                    image

2. Very Jane                                                                                                                                  image

Oh how I love Veryjane! It is a daily boutique deal website that has amazing deals on modest clothing especially skirts! I think I’m addicted because I always end up buying something everyday! There is always something new everyday and cheap too! Their skirts are usually $10-$12 when they’re normally $30! Most of my favorite clothes are from Very Jane! The only con is that their clothing is on a first come, first serve basis! I always check their website around midnight since that is when they put new items up!                                                                 image

3. P. Kid Chicks Shop                                                                                                                  image

First of all I have to say that their sense of fashion is on point! I love their IG account! Their shop is equally amazing! Steph and Nicole are Pastor’s Kids (hence their name ”P. Kid. Chicks”) that are dedicated to inspire young girls to dress modestly. They have gorgeous modest skirts that are affordable as well!

4. Windsor Store

Windsor is kind of like Forever 21 but better! They sell gorgeous formal dresses! While not everything in their website is modest, their midi skirts, however are. Their skirts are so unique!

5. Modest Closet                                                                                                                            image

Modest Closet is one of my favorites for afforadable modest clothing! I love their pencil skirts!! They have the best fit on me! If you are on a budget then this is the place to shop. I totally reccommend the Piper Pencil skirts, definitely a staple piece in my wardrobe.

I could go on and on but I don’t want to over do it so I’m going to stop here. I may do like a part 2 or something later! 🙂  Work awaits me now.

My life as an In-N-Out Associate

Good morning! I wanted to write this post because I get asked all the time,” what’s it like working at in-n-out?” Or ” how can I get hired ?”
Well I’ll tell you my personal experience with the company. First of all In-n-Out is NOT for the the faint of heart I can tell you that much. It involves a lot and I mean ALOT of constant moving and switching from one position to the next (which makes work a lot less boring I think.) In-N-out is also called by some the “second happiest place on Earth” next to Disneyland of course! Now let me tell you all that smiling does get tiring to maintain especially if a customer is being extra “picky”. That brings me to my next point, at In-n-out no matter what position you are on you’re always going to have interaction with customers there is no avoiding that! So keep calm and smile on when you see that bus load of hungry, moody teenagers walking through those glass doors! Also be prepared to always see lines throughout the day (darn that animal burger why must you taste so good?!) I’ll be honest wages was what made me go in for my interview. They used to start you off at $10Hr but they have raised it to $10.50hr and if you dominate that terminal you get a raise in such a short time! You work for your next raise in ” Levels” so of course if you are a higher level it gives you a bit of bossing rights to the lower levels ( which I never tend to use lol)
You must show that you want to be trained and constantly tell them to have them watch you If you want your raise first! You must be a multitasker especially for the night shifts when the crew is cut down by half. It is definitely a fast paced environment! The pros of working at in-n-out is the wages, friendly associates that become your second family, rewards, giveaways, holiday pay, Christmas gifts, events, and company parties!

Cons: Getting off on time. Your schedule may say that you get off “9pm ” but good luck getting off on time when a line out the door walks in!
You may find yourself going home past midnight! On the other hand if business is much too slow they may let you off earlier. So your hours are based on business.
It is HARD work! Lifting heavy items, shaking fry baskets, wrapping burgers like a machine, cleaning all while keeping a smile on your face!

Overall I really love working in a fast paced environment! I love running around getting stuff done!

In-n-Out is an awesome company to work for! Yes you will break a sweat but hey they constantly reward you , treat you respectfully, and really want you to succeed!
